The Forever King
"A terrific read. I couldn't put it
down."
Bill Brauker
King Arthur Books
Arthur is reincarnated as a ten-year-old Chicago boy. He is aided by,
Galahad, a drunk ex-FBI man Hal Woczniak. Merlin returns to life, and helps on the
quest to defeat an evil villain who has the Holy Grail. Most of the action occurs in a
present-day England. Not your average Arthurain adventure, but a fun read.
Dreamers of the
Grail
The dream and myth of Camelot is timeless, and it
speaks to each new generation all over again. This new telling,
focuses on the quest for the Grail, and the adventures leading up to that quest as
shared by two of the younger heroes in Arthurs realm.

The Once and
Future King
Quartet
of novels by T.H. White, published in a single volume in 1958. The quartet comprises The
Sword in the Stone (1938), The Queen of Air and Darkness--first published as The Witch in
the Wood (1939)--The Ill-Made Knight (1940), and The Candle in the Wind (published in the
composite volume, 1958). The series is a retelling of the Arthurian legend, from Arthur's
birth to the end of his reign, and is based largely on Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte
Darthur. This novel about the court of King Arthur, was the basis for the play and movie
"Camelot." After White's death, a conclusion to The Once and Future King was
found among his papers; it was published in 1977 as
The Book of
Merlyn.
Once
and Future King / Cliffs Notes
A first-rate historical novelist, Bernard Cornwell turns his
interest to Camelot and weaves a terrific tale. Set firmly in Britain's Dark Ages,
The triligy goes far beyond the usual tales of romance and chivalry to forever change the
way the legend of Arthur is told, introducing readers to an Arthur who is both utterly
convincing and a true hero--a man whose life is at once tragic and triumphant. This
is a thoroughly enjoyable series.
Mary Stewart's
Merlin Trilogy
The Merlin Trilogy is Mary Stewart's take on the Arthurian legend in three
books: The
Crystal Cave, The Hollow
Hills, and The Last
Enchantment. These books have Merlin, Arthur's wizard mentor, as their focal
point, and the result is a charming, engrossing tale providing a unique perspective on a
familiar tale. Her history is superb and richly detailed, her characterizations are
masterful, and her plotting is perfect. You'll be entranced by this magical story.
After the triliogy, Mary Stewart added to her Arthurian saga with. The
Wicked Day, a revised look at Mordred, which many have found fascinating.
The
Encyclopaedia of Arthurian Legends
Ronan Coghlan, an acknowledged authority on
the Celtic tradition, has drawn together all the different strands of Arthurian myth from
such various sources as Geoffrey of Monmouth, Malory, Chretian de Troyes, and the English
Gawain cycles. He examines every character appearing in the myths in this comprehensive
book on the Arthurian tales. Beautiful full-page illustrations and period maps. This book
is a terrific addition to any Arthurian collection.
The
World of King Arthur
In this marvelously illustrated survey,
Christopher Snyder examines the realities and the impact of the Arthurian legends on
history and the arts. Following a discussion of the Celtic and Roman legacies in Europe,
medieval texts and archaeological discoveries are used to piece together a picture of the
fifth and sixth centuries, when Arthur was believed to have reigned as champion of the
Britons.
 The
Discovery of King Arthur
The
Quest for Arthur's Britain
Geoffrey Ashe spent a lifetime researching King Arthur and it shows in these two books.
They are packed with historical and archeological information, featuring many
photos and illiustrations that bring the search for Arthur alive.
